LADBROKES MOBILE APP REVIEW

Ladbrokes app is fairly simple, and is basically Ladbrokes mobile site, inside a mobile app. Ladbrokes is a British-based gambling and betting company that was founded in 1886. They are one of the biggest businesses in their industry specialising in sports betting as well as offering markets in poker, financial betting, games and bingo.

They have extensive markets while offering boosts on accumulators and some brilliant offers for signing-up as new customers. There are more than 800,000 active customers online and have over 2,700 betting shops in the UK, Spain, Ireland and Belgium. As these numbers show they are one of the most popular betting companies around.

In July 2015, Ladbrokes merged with Gala Coral Group further increasing their customer base – it is worth noting that Coral operates alongside Ladbrokes, and we have a review of Coral bookmakers app on our site as well. Even though Ladbrokes don’t have extravagant odds in their respective markets they are very well known for their helpful stats and results centre as well as news from all the different sports. Ladbrokes bet app is a very convenient free mobile app on all smartphones from where you can access everything the same as on your desktop.

LADBROKES SIGN UP OFFER

The current Ladbrokes welcome offer is called Bet £5 Get £20. As the name suggests, you need to spend £5 of your own money up front, and will get £20 back in free bets as a reward. That’s all pretty straightforward, and there are no major restrictions to complicate matters. These are the main T’s & C’s you do need to be aware of:

There are a couple of things that really stand out about the Ladbrokes new customer offer. Firstly, we love that your free bets are split up into four separate tokens, rather than one big bonus. This allows you to spread out your exposure when spending them, thus increasing your chances of a return. We were also pleased to see very few stipulations for placing either your qualifying bet, or using your free bets. All major bet types are eligible, and the qualifying odds of 1/2 are fair.

Ladbrokes Welcome Offer

The Coral sign-up offer states that punters must make a £5+ win or £5+ each way bet on any sport in order to receive their x4 £5 free bets, however the promotion is not available to anyone depositing using PayPal, Skrill or Neteller.

Meanwhile, qualifying bets must meet the odds requirement of 1/2 or greater, with such bets having to be made within 14 days of registering with the bookmaker.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR LADBROKES FREE BET

Thanks to that lack of terms and conditions, this is a pretty easy offer to use. To help clarify matters, though, here’s a quick and easy step-by-step guide:

  1. Create a Ladbrokes account, using one of the Ladbrokes mobile apps or the desktop site
  2. Deposit at least £5, avoiding ineligible payment methods
  3. Place a £5 bet on Man U to beat Burnley, at evens
  4. Man U win, returning £10
  5. Receive four £5 free bets
  6. Use one the next day on Arsenal to beat Southampton, at 3/1
  7. Arsenal win, returning £15 (Ladbrokes free bet stake not returned)
  8. Use the other three tokens on midweek Champions League games, before they expire

LADBROKES ODDS BOOSTS

Existing customers can claim a Ladbrokes odds boost. Odds are enhanced across a variety of sports and markets. Customers must sign in and refer to the My Account section to claim the Ladbrokes price boost. There will be at least one odds boost for every customer each day. The first £50 of any bet counts for the odds boost. Bets for any stake above that amount are settled at the regular price. The Ladbrokes odds boost only applies to sports betting but there are separate promotions for existing customers of the other gaming products. The daily price boost can be used on single bets, multiples and system bets.

SUPER PRICE BOOSTS

Certain promotion types crop up over and over again on most top sportsbooks. We’re certainly not complaining about that though – they’re usually so common because they’re very effective!

Price boosts – in which the bookie artificially inflates the odds on a certain market – are a classic example. Ladbrokes take things a step further, however, by not only offering regular Price Boosts, but Super Price Boosts too. As the name suggests, the prices for these bets are ramped up even further, meaning the same-sized stake can get you significantly more bang for your buck than normal.

Ladbrokes Price Boost

Technically, Super Price Boosts are available on a range of different sports. During our research for this Ladbrokes review though, we found that the vast majority of them were concentrated within the football section. That might sound like a criticism, but really it makes sense – football is the most popular online sport to bet on, after all.

As with regular Price Boosts, there’s not much variety in the bet types you can find with Super Price Boosts. They will essentially always be same-game multiples. That said, they’re usually multiples you’ll actually be interested in – like two favourites to win and both teams to score in each game – rather than combinations you wouldn’t normally even consider!

ACCA PROMOTIONS

Whether because it’s increasingly easier to watch football, or because they’re always popping up in adverts nowadays, accumulators have never been so popular! Ladbrokes have offered straightforward accumulator betting for a long time. Recently, though, they’ve taken things to the next level with two excellent acca promotions, in addition to the highly useful Ladbrokes Track My Bet feature.

First up, we have Acca Boost. Ladbrokes offer a new Odds Boost for all their customers each day, and this can absolutely be used on an accumulator bet too. Naturally your odds on an acca should already be pretty good to start with, but this can be used to increase your returns… with no drawback whatsoever! You’re also allowed to stake up to £50 on an Acca Boosted bet, making this offer suitable for casual and more serious bettors alike.

In addition, there’s a very good Ladbrokes Acca Insurance promotion. Like most such deals, this refunds your entire stake if only one leg of your accumulator lets you down. The size of the refund here is solid too, being capped at £10. To qualify, your acca simply needs at least five selections, and to have minimum combined odds of 3/1. It can consist of various popular bet types, including Match Result, Both Teams to Score, Over/Under Goals, and so on.

HORSE RACING OFFERS

Headlining Ladbrokes’ selection of horse racing promotions is one of the better Extra Places offers around. Like other promotions of this type, this one increases the number of places you get on your each way wagers, with the number of extra places depending on the number of runners. Notably, Ladbrokes’ Extra Places offer is eligible from 6pm on the day before the race, rather than just on the actual morning of the race.

Ladbrokes tick another popular box with their Best Odds Guaranteed deal. This means that, if you bet on a horse and the starting price is better than the one you got, you’ll automatically be given the superior odds. If your original odds are better, you simply keep them. This applies to all races in the UK & Ireland, and singles, multiples and early prices are all eligible.

Last but not least, we have Non Runner No Bet. This offer removes one of the biggest frustrations in horse racing betting, refunding your stake if your chosen horse fails to start the race for some reason. Right now it’s only available on major festivals like Cheltenham, but – as this promotion type grows more popular – we may see further races become eligible in the near future.

1-2-FREE PREDICTION GAME

Though very appealing in their own rights, many of Ladbrokes’ other promotions are twists on classic offer types. With their 1-2-Free prediction game, however, we find something which is truly different… and a whole lot of fun too!

1-2-Free typically applies to Premier League football games. Each weekend, you’ll be presented with three upcoming matches. All you need to do is predict the correct score for each one. Do so before the first game kicks off, and – if all your predictions come true – you’ll be rewarded with a hefty £100 in cash. Nice!

In a generous twist, however, you don’t even need to nail all three predictions here to win a prize. Get two right, and you’ll win a £5 free bet. If only one guess is correct, you still get a £1 free bet. Even if one or two of the games you predicted are voided for betting purposes, for any reason, you’ll still get a (reduced) prize for the guesses you did get right.

When you consider that 1-2-Free is completely free to enter, there’s really no good reason – as a Ladbrokes user – not to take part. Best of all, this contest runs every single week. Even if you don’t win one time, therefore, another opportunity will be just around the corner.

MOBILE APP

As a brand, Ladbrokes has existed since all the way back in 1886, in one form or another. Any doubts about whether they’ve been able to keep up with the times can swiftly be resolved – though – when you see the quality of their mobile app. Available on both iOS and Android, it’s no exaggeration to say that this is one of the very best sports betting apps around right now. It’s an outstanding all-round offering, blending usability, reliability, features, and plenty more besides.

This all starts with the navigation, which has been brilliantly judged. An ever-present menu at the bottom of your screen gives you immediate access to five key sections. These are:

Within the home page, you’re given another scrolling menu that houses more of the areas you’re most likely to visit, including 5-A-Side, Horse Racing, and Football. Basically, you can get almost anywhere you like on this app within a tap or two of the screen.

Ladbrokes iOS app

The range of features here is also outstanding, allowing you to do everything you can on the main Ladbrokes betting site, but with the convenience of using a mobile device instead. In-play, cash out, the Bet Builder, live streaming, virtual sports, and all the same promotions are available here. Add in the fact that both casino games and the entire Ladbrokes betting exchange can also be accessed – without having to download separate apps – and there’s enough here to keep you entertained indefinitely.

LADBROKES ANDROID APP

The Ladbrokes Android app is extremely quick and easy to download, requiring barely a minute of your time. Here are the few steps you must take to acquire it:

  1. Go to the main menu of your Android mobile device, and open up the Play Store
  2. Tap on the search function towards the top of your screen, and look for ‘Ladbrokes’
  3. Select the ‘Ladbrokes Sports Betting’ option (as opposed to the apps for Ladbrokes Casino, The Grid, and so on)
  4. Tap on the green ‘Install’ button
  5. Agree to give the app any permissions it requires
  6. Once the download has finished, go back to your main menu, and click on the new Ladbrokes icon to open the app
  7. Create a new account, or log into an existing one, and start betting!

LADBROKES IOS APP

The iOS version of Ladbrokes’ mobile app is just as easy to download as its Android counterpart. Here’s exactly how you can go about getting it:

  1. On the main navigation of your iOS device, select ‘App Store’
  2. Click on the ‘Search’ button, in the bottom-right of your screen
  3. Search for ‘Ladbrokes’
  4. Find the corresponding sports betting app, and tap the little download icon next to it
  5. Wait for the download to finish, then select the Ladbrokes icon in your main menu to open the app

LADBROKES MOBILE WEBSITE

If you don’t have room for the actual Ladbrokes app on your mobile device, or simply don’t want to use it for any reason, then you’ll obviously be reliant on the Ladbrokes mobile sports website. We’re pleased to say that this will also serve you extremely well.

Most importantly, the brilliantly intuitive interface from the app is retained here. That includes the bottom menu – which takes you swiftly to most major sections – and the scrolling top menu… which basically takes you to the rest of the important areas!

In terms of features too, it’s impressive to see that there’s almost no drop-off compared to the app. You can still stream ongoing games, place and cash out live bets, watch and bet on virtual sports, and so on. All your key Ladbrokes account management needs – like deposits and withdrawals – can also be met here. When you consider that Android and iOS users can easily create a shortcut to the site on their device’s main navigation… this almost feels like another app anyway!

Literally, the only aspect in which the mobile site trails the app is in speed, with pages here being very slightly slower to load. The drop-off is barely noticeable though, and shouldn’t dissuade you from using this fantastic mobile site.

LADBROKES FEATURES

Ladbrokes is the definition of a premium sportsbook. Not only does it have a massive range of betting opportunities, with everything from football to Ladbrokes politics markets available to bet on. There’s also excellent customer support, user-friendly interfaces, and it’s packed with top-notch features too. These are some of the best such features you can use.

IN-PLAY BETTING

In-Play & Streaming is the first option on the main menu on the Ladbrokes Home page after the A-Z of sports option. The current bet in-play events are displayed and there is a calendar for live betting options over the next few days. At the time of writing the Ladbrokes in-play betting events were related to football, tennis, ice hockey and Esports. However, several other sports appeared on the calendar of upcoming live bets. Betting is suspended after a key event such as a goal, sending-off or penalty in football and break of serve or end of a set in tennis. As part of the Ladbrokes live betting service, updated odds reappear after about one minute and the live betting continues.

CASH OUT

Customers with Ladbrokes can cash out bets across a selection of sports and betting markets. The most popular bets for cashing out are the match winner in football and tennis. The facility can also be used for the correct score in football and set correct score in tennis. The Ladbrokes cash out option is being applied to more sports and markets. Pre-match bets and earlier live bets can be cashed out during an in-play event. The objective is to ensure a profit or limit the loss despite the outcome of the event. Ladbrokes offer customers a cash out value. The bettor can fully or partially cash out the bet or reject the offer. Customers have the Ladbrokes cash out in app option.

Like most things on Ladbrokes, actually executing a cash out is pretty easy to do, even for inexperienced bettors. To help you on your way though, here’s a simple guide on how to do just that:

  1. Bet £10 on Chelsea to beat Leicester, at 2/1, to return £30
  2. It’s an even game, and the half-time score is 0-0
  3. Chelsea score after 75 minutes
  4. You’re being offered £27 for your Ladbrokes in play wager
  5. You decide to cash out now
  6. Leicester equalise late on, and the game finishes 1-1
  7. Having executed the cash out, you still get £27 back into your account

LIVE STREAMING

Customers must login to gain access to Ladbrokes live streaming of sports events and horse racing. An icon next to live event indicates if live streaming is available. There must be a bet placed before the live steaming of any horse race is available. The coverage includes the race and the loading procedure which tells bettors if a horse is settled or agitated. Live bettors can also view a graphical representation of the action and refer to live match data before placing a bet. There are many sports and events that can be live streamed and more are being added over time.

ACCA BETTING

Acca betting is popular with Ladbrokes because there is the potential for a decent win for a small stake. Users of the mobile app like to create multiples with a number of teams and then follow the matches. An acca with Ladbrokes includes four or more tams and the most popular sport for the bet are football and horse racing.

Ladbrokes Acca Betting

Ladbrokes offers some of the finest Acca packages around, that includes odds boosts, acca insurance, and much more. Check out Ladbrokes’ Best Acca Around promotion.

There are limits to the most that can be won from an acca on any one day. Selections that are subject to odds boosts can be included in accas with four selections or more.

GETAPRICE

Customised betting is a relatively new concept and the Ladbrokes version is named GetAPrice. Bettors can create a personalised bet from a number of options in a football match. For example, the number of corners, bookings and goals can be combined in one bet. Some of the options are related so bookmakers reduce the odds accordingly.

The Ladbrokes “request a bet” feature complements the welcome offer and ongoing promotions. However, it is not a major incentive to open an account because most of the competitors have a similar feature. Customers pick the bet and Tweet it to Ladbrokes. A member of staff sends the offer in the form of a Tweet with a link to be followed to place the bet. The customer is not obliged to place the bet at the GetAPrice odds. The feature is used on the Ladbrokes betting app in the same way as on desktop computers.

5-A-SIDE GAME

Ladbrokes might have been around for decades, but they still display a commendable flair for invention. Their 5-A-Side game is just the latest of many examples, blending betting and fantasy football in a tremendously innovative way.

There are only four stages to 5-A-Side. First, you pick from six different formations. These represent a good mix of different tactics, depending on how attacking or defensive you’d like your team to be. Next, you pick your players. These can be taken from a curated selection of the biggest upcoming games around Europe. Thirdly – and most importantly – you pick the stats you want your players’ points to be based on: Have X Shots, Have X Assists, Score X Goals, and so on. Finally, you put the finishing touches to your team’s identity.

Once all that’s done, it’s time to place a bet! At the lowest level, after all, you’re simply betting on player props here… which technically you could bet on via a game’s markets anyway. 5-A-Side is a vastly more fun way to do things though, adding a welcome and challenging technical layer which true fans of the beautiful game will relish.

LADBROKES BETTING EXCHANGE

While the Ladbrokes sportsbook is obviously more famous, they also have a fully-featured betting exchange in place. This was launched in 2013, when Ladbrokes acquired a successful pre-existing exchange, called Betdaq. Technically, Betdaq still continues to operate as a separate website, but the exchanges pool their user bases together to increase the liquidity on both platforms.

The market selection on the Ladbrokes Exchange can’t compare with Betfair’s, but the likes of football, horse racing, cricket, tennis, and more are all available to bet on. The Ladbrokes golf markets are particularly impressive, especially during a major tournament. As usual on a betting exchange, you can get essentially any price you like on a specific market, as long as someone is willing to take the other side of that wager. You can also see exactly how much money has been wagered on each bet by users, to give you an indication of how popular that bet is.

Commissions are naturally one of the most important factors on an exchange, and those on Ladbrokes are very competitive indeed. You’re only charged 2% on winning bets, which is significantly below the 5% which Betfair charges, and in line with another of Ladbrokes’ competitors, Smarkets. As with other exchanges, no commissions are charged on losing wagers.

LADBROKES VIRTUAL BETTING

Having started off as a small niche, virtual sports are becoming increasingly popular with punters, and it’s pretty easy to see why. Ladbrokes were pretty early adopters to this trend, and now offer a virtual sports section which – while not exceptional – is still one of the better such offerings around.

The four most popular virtual sports are all in place here: horse racing, greyhound racing, football, and motorsports. There’s also a separate Grand National channel for horse racing fans. New events kick off almost constantly for all those sports, with only a short break in-between contests for pre-match betting.

The graphics aren’t the most impressive we’ve seen, but the animations are still compelling enough to help create the illusion you’re watching a realistic matchup unfold. Likewise, the selection of bet types is satisfactory, without being outstanding. With virtual football, for example, you only have Match Result, Correct Score, Total Goals, Double Chance, and Over/Under 2.5 Goals.

It’s worth mentioning that there’s also a virtual sports section within the Ladbrokes Exchange. Naturally this might see less action, but actually has a wider range of sports, with speedway and cycling both included, and horse racing split into flat and jump events.

LADBROKES GRID

Long before there were Ladbrokes online betting apps or a desktop site, they were an enormously successful brick-and-mortar bookmaker. Now, Ladbrokes have blended both the old and new together with The Grid.

At a basic level, The Grid is similar to a loyalty program. Once you sign up, you’ll be sent a physical Grid Card, which is automatically linked to your Ladbrokes online account. Every time you use your Grid Card in a betting shop – placing wagers, playing on the machines, and so on – points will feed back into your online account.

Once you’ve accumulated enough Grid points, you’ll be able to cash them in. The prizes change regularly, but can range all the way from discounts at cinemas and high-street chains, to days out at Ascot and even sizable cash rewards. Grid users also get access to a few other useful benefits, including football coupons and money back offers on horse racing.

Even aside from the loyalty program aspect, The Grid simply makes life easier for Ladbrokes customers who like to bet both in-store and online. Sharing an account balance for both types of betting is extremely convenient, and you can even have your in-store winnings added to your online account – rather than getting them as cash – ready to spend on the mobile app at your convenience.

LADBROKES BETTING MARKETS

The most popular betting sports and events with Ladbrokes measured by bets placed and markets are described below:

HORSE RACING

Ladbrokes horse racing betting features the major races in the UK. The biggest betting meeting of the year is the Cheltenham Festival in March. The biggest betting standalone race is the Grand National in April. These two racing occasions attract many bettors who don’t bet on horse racing during the rest of the year. The site’s racing product features Best Odds Guaranteed and non-runner/no bet as part of Ladbrokes Cheltenham and Ladbrokes Grand National betting.

The regular racing service covers every meeting in the UK and Ireland. Customers can place win and each way bets in singles, doubles, trebles and multiples. Horse racing lends itself to system bets which combine three or more horses in permutations. Customers can place Forecast and Tricast bets. Ladbrokes offers odds on the major overseas meetings and international races. The operator often has price boosts and extra places for the main races in the UK and Ireland.

HORSE RACING SPECIALS

The regular selection of Ladbrokes horse racing betting markets is already robust. But – every now and again – they choose to juice up the odds on certain markets.

To be frank, they don’t actually have the widest selection of horse racing specials in the world! At the time of writing, only six events in the next five months had specials bets available, and most of those only had one special to offer.

In fairness, the odds for some of those specials are eye-catching, with prices for perfectly respectable runners reaching 40/1 on winner bets. We’d obviously prefer to see a few more choices here, though!

Ladbrokes Horse Racing Specials

FOOTBALL

Football is the most popular betting sport with Ladbrokes. The website and mobile app publish odds for many leagues and competitions all around the world. By far the most popular betting league is the Premier League in England followed by the Champions League. Ante-post betting gets a boost every two years when there is a World Cup or European Championships finals. Ladbrokes Premier League betting includes the outright winner and leading scorer and team and player Specials.

Ladbrokes displays the three-way match result market for each fixture with a link to the related markets. Customers can select from up to 200 related betting options. These markets appear under the headings of Main Markets, Goals, Goalscorer, Halves, Score and Team Goals. The Ladbrokes football betting product includes the GetAPrice customised betting facility. The cash out option is available on the main in-play betting markets. The app replicates the website for football betting.

FOOTBALL SPECIALS

Ladbrokes’ racing specials might be a little lackluster, but those for football are anything but. In fact, there are four different sub-sections, each of which has some pretty tantalising choices.

Price Boosts are the most common Ladbrokes football specials, and usually inflate the odds on multiples – often three teams to win in a given round of games. Cross-Match Specials are certainly something different, especially when they blend player props together across two different matchups. #GetAPrice typically features Premier League outright bets, and – at the time of writing – there’s also an England Specials area with international outright odds.

CRICKET

The Ladbrokes cricket service covers domestic and international cricket in a number of formats. Cricket matches are played in Twenty20, One Day International, domestic and Test match tournaments. There is a ODI and Twenty20 cricket World Cup every four years which boost cricket betting. The most popular cricket betting markets are the match winner and top batsman and bowler. Cricket is popular with UK bookmakers and Ladbrokes provides a comprehensive service.

TENNIS

Tennis is the second most popular betting sport with Ladbrokes after football. Ladbrokes tennis betting includes matches on the ATP and WTA tours, Challenger events and International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments. The sport is rare in that there are more bets placed in in-play markets than in the pre-match betting. The most popular tennis betting markets are the two-way match winner, handicaps and totals. Ladbrokes offers ante post betting on the upcoming Grand Slam tournaments and international team competitions. Ladbrokes Esports betting is hugely popular and is catching up with tennis with regards the number of bets and turnover.

POLITICS

Ladbrokes political betting focuses on elections in the UK, United States and France. Customers can bet on the next leaders of the main political parties in Britain and the result of the next election. The Brexit issue had led to an increase in betting on Politics. Ladbrokes covers the subject with a range of European Union related markets. The site also features a number of special markets related to Donald Trump and his future.

LADBROKES TOTE BETTING

Ladbrokes accepts Tote bets on racing in the UK. The Tote is a pool betting operation that declares a dividend for the winner of a race and the horses that fill the payout places. The two most popular meeting-related Tote bets are the Jackpot and Placepot. The Ladbrokes Jackpot rules mean bettors are trying to identify the winners of the first six races on a selected card. The Ladbrokes Placepot rules mean bettors are trying to identify six placed horses at a selected meeting. The Tote also runs a bet that involves selecting the winner of six races from one or more tracks.

Sports gambling is obviously a year-round hobby, but certain competitions and specific events tend to draw the bulk of bettors’ attention. Let’s take a look at how Ladbrokes is tackling some of the biggest current and upcoming contests.

PREMIER LEAGUE 2020-21

Football is the most popular sport for British punters, and the Premier League – by far – draws the most betting attention. Every single matchup is covered in a huge amount of detail, with around 200 different markets usually available per game. These don’t just comprise of regular bet types, but the likes of boosted prices and #GetAPrice markets too, and there’s a Bet Builder for same-game multiples. As noted, certain bets even qualify for Super Price Boosts, which greatly inflate the odds. There are several long-term markets to pick from too, namely Outright Winner, Top Goalscorer, Top 4 Finish, and To Be Relegated.

CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL 2021

Cheltenham is the first major horse racing festival of the year, and this – combined with frequently thrilling races – always leads to a huge amount of interest and excitement. Ladbrokes naturally cover Cheltenham in great detail every year, not only with plenty of markets, but with special deals too. In the past, they’ve been known to provide festival-specific welcome offers, and other promotions like ‘Double Your Winnings’. At the time of writing, the Ladbrokes offers for Cheltenham 2021 – which will take place from March 16th-19th – haven’t been revealed. Their track record suggests they’ll have something up their sleeves when spring rolls around, though!

GRAND NATIONAL 2021

Cheltenham might be the first festival on the calendar, but the Grand National is arguably the biggest. It’s the most lucrative jump race in Europe after all, and reportedly draws in over half a billion viewers worldwide each year. The 2020 version was cancelled, but the 2021 edition is scheduled to take place on Saturday 10th April at Aintree. Assuming it goes ahead as planned, Ladbrokes will definitely have it covered in style. Ante-post betting is already open, with two-time champion Tiger Roll a comfortable early favourite. Check back closer to the race itself to find out about any special offers Ladbrokes will have in place for this prestigious event.

2020 SUMMER OLYMPICS

Originally slated to kick off in July 2020, the Tokyo Olympics were yet another sporting victim of the Coronavirus pandemic, and have been delayed until January 2023. Naturally the Olympics are a massive logistical event, so nobody knows if they’ll go ahead this time as planned. At the time of writing, Ladbrokes have clearly judged it too early to open betting on Tokyo 2020, even for outright markets. While there wasn’t a Ladbrokes promo code or any other offer available for the previous Olympics – Rio 2016 – a whole lot of betting markets were in place, and we’d expect to see the same at the next edition.

LADBROKES DEPOSIT OPTIONS

There are a number of Ladbrokes deposit methods for customers who want to transfer funds into a betting account. Customers can make deposits using bank cards, e-Wallets, prepaid cards and Bank Wire Transfer. The Ladbrokes minimum deposit is £10 and the maximum deposits depends on the customer’s betting history. Deposits are immediate and free of charge.

Ladbrokes customers have the option of a withdraw to PayPal. Transactions are subject to standard delays but are generally free of charge. The Ladbrokes withdrawal time is 2 to 5 working days. The range of Ladbrokes payment methods compares favourably with that of the competitors. Transactions can be limited if the customer is showing the signs of problem gambling.

LADBROKES CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Ladbrokes really do leave no stone unturned when it comes to checking the most important sports betting boxes, and this applies to their customer support too. Getting any issues solved tends to be extremely quick and straightforward here. Live chat and phone support are both available, and you can even get in touch via Facebook Messenger.

Elsewhere, Ladbrokes also have an excellent Help Centre in place. This covers a very wide range of topics for account management, the sportsbook, and the exchange, and can resolve many of your issues without having to contact the support team. The whole section is divided in a smart manner, and the articles are written in a clear, concise, and helpful style.

SECURITY

Ladbrokes is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. It is one of the most trusted regulatory bodies in the industry. The Commission can issue fines and revoke a license. Ladbrokes meets the standards for compliance with regard to free bets and promotions. Customers from outside the UK are subject to the regulations of the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner. Ladbrokes adopts safe and secure methods for the handling of personal data.

ABOUT LADBROKES

Ladbrokes began operating as a telephone and credit bookmaker in the UK and opened betting offices when they were legalised in 1961. The company still has an estate of cash betting offices but has developed a major online presence. Ladbrokes acquired Gala Coral in 2016 to create one of the biggest betting companies in the world. The joint company is quoted on the London Stock Exchange and was a member of the FTSE 250 before being bought by GVC Holdings in 2018.

Ladbrokes has a trusted reputation and is one of the most recognised betting brands in the UK. The company has a history of operating fairly but faced a fine from the UK Gambling Commission in 2019 for failings in the areas of money laundering and social responsibility. Ladbrokes have now put more measures in place to prevent problem gambling. The site features banner links to support bodies and the company is a member of the European Sports Betting Integrity body (ESSA).

HOW TO START BETTING WITH LADBROKES

Over the years, Ladbrokes have honed many things on their mobile betting platforms to make them as straightforward as possible for users. Downloading their official app is certainly easy to do, as you can see in the ‘Ladbrokes Mobile App’ section above. It’s just as simple to actually sign up and start betting with this bookie too, though.

The registration process is highly streamlined, consisting of just three main steps. Here’s a short guide on how to complete them:

  1. Download the Ladbrokes app, or head to the mobile version of their website through a link on our website.
  2. Click ‘Join’

Ladbrokes Registration Process

Your account will now have been created, and you’ll be invited to set deposit limits if you so desire. You’ll also need to quickly agree to Ladbrokes’ fund protection policy, but – once you’ve done so – you’re free to make your first deposit. At this stage, do remember that – if you want to take advantage of the current sign up bonus – certain deposit options are ineligible. These are listed in the ‘Ladbrokes Sign Up Offer’ section above, where you can also find further details about how to trigger that promotion.

Before making your first withdrawal, you will need to verify your identity with Ladbrokes, which is also very easy to do. Eligible verification options include your passport or driving license to prove your identity, and utility bills and bank statements to prove your address. These can all be uploaded directly from your phone’s photo gallery via the app or Ladbrokes mobile site.

RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING ON LADBROKES

Identifying and helping those with gambling problems has been an increasing focus for sportsbooks in recent years. Naturally, we’re in full support of this, and we were pleased to see that Ladbrokes is completely behind this initiative too.

Ladbrokes provide a lengthy page on responsible gambling, which outlines both their approach and the specific steps they’ve taken. The former is built around a desire to help those for whom gambling has caused ‘personal, social, financial, and even health problems’. The latter includes a whole range of measures. All Ladbrokes users can set maximum limits for both deposits and stakes. You can also temporarily block deposits on your account, or impose a time-out on yourself.

Ladbrokes are also fully supportive of your right to take the final step, and completely self-exclude yourself from betting. For this, they have partnered with Gamstop, the UK’s main scheme for helping problem gamblers to stop betting, by excluding them from all registered sportsbooks.

Finally, Ladbrokes also provide a few excellent suggestions for places you can find support with a potential gambling problem. The likes of Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare, and Gamban are all easily accessible via the Responsible Gambling section of their website and app.

BOTTOM LINE

All in all, Ladbrokes are an exceptional bookmaker that are always improving and trying to make their bookie the best. I have had a Ladbrokes account for a couple of years and their customer service is very helpful and are very easy to contact. The mobile app works brilliantly and is very simple to use. I advise you to search through their markets first and look to see if they have markets for the sport of your choice. Then all there is left to do is grab that worthwhile sign-up offer of up to £50 and have fun betting with them.
